In 4th grade we will continue to use Pearson Realize Math, which is the program that has been used in the elementary school.

Students will work in whole group, small group, and individually.  Most evenings there will be homework to complete, although some days students will have time to work on it in class.

New to some students is the ixl program found at Students will have assigned ixls for each math topic. They can be worked on at school in the morning, during down time, or at home. Students are required to get a 70% or above on each ixl, or they need to be redone. Students always have the option of redoing any ixl, even if the score is above a 70%. At the end of the math topic, the IXL scores and practice buddies will be averaged into one score, equivalent to a test score.

Rocket Math-What is it and how do we do it?
